The rise and rapid advancement of ChatGPT and other AI tools have generated a shock in the academic sector. A swift and effective transformation in the education sector is needed to ensure that professionals are not only well-trained but also capable of leveraging the full potential of these technologies. There is a need for a debate amongst professionals working in preventive veterinary medicine to discuss how such tools may be affecting the training of future professionals.

The workshop will be composed of two parts. The first part will consist of a presentation that will explore current evolution and use of AI tools, by teachers and students, and laying out the key major questions relevant for the training of professionals in preventive veterinary medicine. The second part will consist of an interactive discussion, where participants can share their experiences, opinions, concerns, and ideas on how to navigate the risks and benefits of these tools, and how the sector should move forward.
